Cricket betting at magha — place bets on every match from BPL to T20 World Cup
For cricket fans in Bangladesh, magha brings a wide cricket betting experience. BPL, IPL, T20 World Cup — multiple markets for every format, easy deposits and live betting, all in one place.
Cricket formats and major tournaments
The three main cricket formats — T20, ODI and Test — each call for a different approach to betting. Understanding how a match plays out makes it easier to decide when to place a bet.
T20
20 overs per side — the fastest format, where a single over can change the entire game. BPL, IPL and T20 World Cup are all played in this format. Odds shift with every ball, which is why live betting is most popular here.
ODI
50 overs per side — a longer match where statistics and partnerships carry more weight. ODIs feature mainly in ICC events and bilateral series. Top batsman or total runs markets tend to work well here.
Test
Five days of cricket — the oldest and most tactical format. A draw is always a possible result, so you can bet on three outcomes. Wickets, innings scores and pitch conditions play a big role in how odds move.
BPL
The Bangladesh Premier League is Bangladesh's biggest T20 cricket league. Each season features local and overseas players, and BPL match odds are available directly on magha.
IPL and International Tournaments
IPL, T20 World Cup and other major ICC tournaments are hugely popular with fans in Bangladesh. These tournaments offer a larger number of markets and live betting stays active throughout.
Football and Other Sports Betting
Alongside cricket, football is another popular betting option at magha.
Beyond cricket, football betting is also available at magha. The key difference between cricket and football betting is the format — in cricket the rules around a tie or draw change depending on the format, whereas in football betting typically covers three outcomes: win, loss or draw.
Football has its own special markets covering goals, corners, cards and more. Cricket has markets built around its own flow — wickets, run rate, powerplay score. If you are betting on both sports, it helps to understand each sport's markets separately.

Popular Betting Markets and Examples
There are many ways to bet on cricket — not just on who wins the match, but on smaller events within the game. Below are seven common markets with a brief example of each.
Match Winner
A bet on which team will win the match. Example: if you back Team A and they win, you collect your return; if they lose, the stake is gone.
Most familiarToss Betting
A bet on which team will win the toss before the match starts. The outcome is a pure 50/50 chance, so odds are generally close to even.
Pre-matchTop Batsman
A bet on which batsman will score the most runs in the match or innings. Current form and pitch conditions play an important role in this market.
Performer betTotal Runs — Over/Under
A bet on whether total runs in a match or innings will be above (over) or below (under) a set number. Odds move quickly when wickets fall or a strong partnership builds.
Score betMulti Bet
Combining multiple matches or markets into a single bet — you win only if every selection is correct. One wrong selection and the entire bet is lost.
High returnPowerplay Score
A bet on how many runs will be scored in the first 6 overs (T20) or the designated powerplay. This market is popular during the opening excitement of a match.
In-play favouriteMulti Bet Example
Say you pick three selections across three separate matches — with decimal odds of 1.60, 1.70 and 1.80 respectively. Combined as a multi bet, the total odds are 1.60 × 1.70 × 1.80 = 4.90 (approximately). A ৳100 stake returns ৳490 if all three selections are correct; if any one selection is wrong, the entire ৳100 is lost. This is an illustrative example only — actual returns are not guaranteed.
How to read odds — three formats
Different odds formats display the same value in different ways.
The same odds can be written in three ways — decimal, fractional and American. magha generally uses decimal odds, but knowing all three makes it easy to compare across any platform.
| Format | If Team A wins (৳1,000 stake) | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 2.50 (Decimal) | Total return ৳2,500 (profit ৳1,500) | Stake × odds = total return |
| 3/2 (Fractional) | ৳3 profit for every ৳2 staked → ৳1,500 profit on a ৳1,000 stake | Numerator = profit, denominator = stake |
| +150 (American) | ৳150 profit on a ৳100 stake → ৳1,500 profit on a ৳1,000 stake | A positive number shows profit per ৳100 staked |
Here, decimal 2.50 = fractional 3/2 = American +150 — three ways of writing the same odds. On a winning bet the total return is ৳2,500 (৳1,500 profit + ৳1,000 original stake); if the bet loses, the full ৳1,000 is gone.
Odds are lower for the favourite. For example, if Team B is the favourite: decimal 1.50 (fractional 1/2, American -200). A ৳1,000 stake returns ৳1,500 (profit of only ৳500). American minus odds (-200) mean you need to stake ৳200 to make ৳100 profit.
These are illustrative examples for clarity only. Team A and Team B are fictional names — there is no guarantee of any actual earnings.
Live Betting — odds change as the match goes on
Live or in-play betting — placing bets while a match is in progress — is one of the most engaging ways to bet on cricket. Every time a wicket falls, the batting team's odds go up and the fielding team's odds come down. A strong partnership reverses that.
As overs run out, the pressure of the run rate builds — if a batting team needs a lot of runs in the last five overs, their odds shift quickly. Because these shifts happen in real time, it is impossible to know in advance exactly what return a bet will give. That is what makes live betting fast-moving.
Live betting in T20 is the quickest because the match duration is short. In Test matches, live odds move more slowly and pitch or weather conditions carry more weight. To access live betting at magha, go directly to magha Login and sign in to your account.
What changes move live betting odds
- A wicket falling — the batting team's odds rise immediately
- Run rate after the powerplay — the chasing team's position becomes clearer
- A big over (15+ runs) — the batting team's odds drop noticeably
- Runs needed in the last 5 overs — the likely match result becomes clearer
- Rain or bad light — a significant impact on odds, especially in Test and ODI matches
A few things to keep in mind before you start betting
- Pick one market first. Starting with the match winner is the simplest approach — get a feel for how the game moves before going into complex multi bets or specialist markets.
- Set a stake limit. Decide how much you want to bet on a match before you start, and stick to that limit whether you win or lose.
- Choose markets that match the format. Powerplay bets work well in T20; innings scores or session results suit Test cricket. Picking markets that fit the format keeps things clearer.
- No rushing in live betting. Fast-moving odds can make you want to decide quickly. Take a moment to think — betting is for entertainment, not for pressure.
- Read the rules. Before you start betting, it is worth going through magha's terms and conditions — especially the sections on bonus wagering requirements.
- Betting is entertainment, not a source of income. Bet on cricket for the enjoyment of the game. Treat each match on its own rather than expecting long-term profit.
